The group BTS swept the top of the world iTunes chart with its title song released before the release of its full-length Japanese album.
On the 20th, Big Hit Entertainment announced that BTS' Japanese song "Stay Gold" topped the iTunes "Top Song" chart in 82 regions including Japan, the United States, Britain, Brazil and India.
It is the highest record set by BTS with a Japanese song. Their Japanese single "Lights," released in July last year, topped the charts in 43 regions.
For the first time as a Japanese original song by BTS, it was also listed on the real-time charts of a local music site right after its release.
"Stay Gold" has a message that says, "There are not only good things in the world, but I hope you don't lose that sparkle."
