BTS Suga Ranked 7th on the English Albums ChartKorea's best solo artist Record
Suga, a member of the group BTS, ranked seventh in the album category on the British Official Chart, one of the world's two largest pop charts, with his personal mix tape. It is the highest record set by a Korean solo musician in the official chart album category.

According to his agency Big Hit Entertainment, the mix tape "D-2," which Suga released on the 22nd under his active name "Agust D," ranked seventh on the latest official album chart "Top 100" released on the 29th (local time). "It is the first Korean solo artist to enter the British album chart 'Top 10'," the official chart said.

In addition, "D-2" ranked second on the official album download chart, third on the official album sales chart and 29th on the official album streaming chart, according to Big Hit. It also ranked high on the Scottish and Irish albums charts, ranking sixth and tenth, respectively.

Mixtape is an album produced and distributed for non-commercial purposes, and this album is available for paid purchase on overseas music platforms, but it has been released free of charge to SoundCloud and Google. In addition, the record is drawing keen attention as it did not produce a real album.

The title track of the mix tape, "Daechuta," also ranked 68th in the official chart single category, making it one of the top 100. The song ranked sixth on the official single sales chart.

This year, BTS ranked first in the album category with its fourth full-length album "Map of the Soul: 7" and 21st in the single category with its title track "On." Following the team's album, his solo work is believed to have been well received by fans around the world and displayed his power in the charts. The British Official Chart is considered one of the two major charts representing the pop market along with the U.S. Billboard.

Suga, who has used the name "August D" when he came up with his personal mixtape, presented a 10-track version of his sensibility and frank inner side in his second mixtape "D-2." In particular, the title track "Daechuta" became a hot topic after sampling the royal march music. The music video for "Daechuta," which was filmed on the set of historical dramas, surpassed 58.5 million views on YouTube as of 4:30 p.m. (Korean time).
