Jimin is the music project manager, Suga is designing the album cover, V will be visual director and RM the producer – but what will J-Hope, Jungkook and Jin bring to the boy group’s first self-produced album?
RM confirmed on April 17 that BTS are starting on their next album. Since they’ve only just begun, there’s no title or line-up of songs yet.
Jimin announced on May 1 that the group will prepare for the album by themselves. While they’ve created most of their own songs, this will be their first self-produced album.
According to The Korea Herald, Jimin shared, “As our team’s production of a new album has been assigned independently to ourselves, we named the project managers [for each category], and I was put in charge of music.
”The group assigned roles to every member to boost efficiency. According to fans and the press, here are the likely roles of each member.
As the music project manager, Jimin is figuring out how members want to work, what kind of content they want to create and the songs that they want to make.
Suga is working on the album cover and jacket. He spent an entire live-stream painting with black and blue colours, which could be hints about the cover art.
On April 28, J-Hope showed off his freestyling dance moves so he’ll probably be the choreographer. V will be the visual director and RM is the producer. Jungkook and Jin’s roles are yet to be confirmed.
As the visual director, V suggested that the album’s concept photos should have a home party vibe. Every member will seemingly wake up in their own rooms during a casual photo shoot.
