“Singularity” was also originally released as an introduction song on Love Yourself:轉 Tear only to be released again later on Love Yourself: 結 Answer. The song has a distinctive R&B vibe to it, fueled by singer V’s (Kim Taehyung) soulful voice.

The lyrics are poetic in nature as the song details a person who feels as though they have lost themselves for another person.

“Fake Love” was said to be a very difficult song for the group to work on in their album preview V Live. The members revealed that they worked on the melody over and over again, trying to get it just right.

In an interview, RM also revealed more of the meaning behind the song. “We’re saying that if you’re not true to yourself, your love won’t last forever. The love could be person to person, it could be between me and myself.”
