BTS WSJ Magazine Wins Music of the Year 2020

BTS was selected as the winner of the "2020 Innovator Awards" of the Wall Street Journal magazine and decorated the cover of "The Innovators Issue."

The Wall Street Journal magazine announced winners of each category of "2020 Innovator of the Year" on its website streaming at 8 p.m. on the 11th (local time), including music winner BTS. The Wall Street Journal magazine has been selecting innovators in various areas related to culture, including music, TV, art, architecture, and literature, and this year marks its 10th anniversary.

The Wall Street Journal magazine explained why it chose BTS as the winner of the "2020 Innovator of the Year" music category, saying, " BTS is often called the Beatles in the 21st century. It broke the boy band's formula and led the concept of fandom to new territory, and globalized the genre of K-pop." "Their influence goes beyond music, but in June, BTS donated to a meaningful campaign, and fans joined in and collected the same amount of donations in a day," he said.
